FAQ
Everything shoppers ask us most about custom metal signs — how they're made, what they cost, and how long they take. Can't find it here? Talk to the workshop.
BarnSigns is a small family studio in Granville, Michigan that designs and hand-finishes custom metal signs — laser-cut from powder-coated steel, including kinetic wind-spinner pieces and personalized flat wall signs. Browse the full catalog or read more about the workshop.
Every BarnSigns piece starts as an in-house drawing, gets laser-cut from a single sheet of powder-coated steel by a trusted partner shop, then is hand-checked before it ships — no mass production, no dropshipping.
Flat (2D) signs are laser-cut wall art — personalized names, monograms, addresses, and home decor that mount flush to a wall. Kinetic (3D) signs add a balanced moving element, like a wind spinner, so part of the piece turns in the breeze. See our full kinetic vs. static comparison guide.
Most BarnSigns pieces range from about $55 to $195 depending on size and detail — exact pricing is shown on each product page, and fully custom Studio designs are quoted after you describe or sketch what you want.
Yes — most flat signs can be personalized with a family name, monogram, or address, and the Studio lets you upload a sketch or describe an idea for a fully custom piece.
